What is new at the Iberostar Ensenachos?
Here is a summary of what has changed since the hotel is now administered by the Iberostar group. Many thanks to Francine and Claude, repeat guests since its debut to this destination, for their contributions to this section of our site.
Spa Suites ...
There is more Butler service in the rooms. You must contact the public relations in the basement of the lobby, near the CADECA (bank). This section is for adults only. The restaurant outside the pool is a Steak House. There is a small addition, near the previously existing, which still remains functional. Much entertainment around the pool.
Park Suites ...
This is the family sector. A water park was installed for children (nursery, playground, swimming pool, etc.). The restaurant of this pool has been redone inside and outside. It has become more functional.
Gran Village Suites ...
Adults and families with children over 14 years. There is always a Butler service in this section of the hotel. The restaurant outside the pool has been redone. The customers at the Park and Spa sectors may eat at this restaurant, but they will have to pay. The Nautical center (the place to get water sports items, pedal boat and Hobbie cat), there is now a air conditioned restaurant in this building in a « Ranchon » style.
Beaches ...
Playa Megano: It now has a beach restaurant « Ranchón » style and new sanitary facilities. There is entertainment all day and music continuously. This place is not very popular for people looking for to relax on the beach. It is possible to use the Hobie Cat.
Playa Ensenachos: The first section is for everyone, including children, and closest to Gran Village Suites is reserved for these customers. There is a bathroom and a place outside to eat. In the first section, there are also animation and music.
Lobby ...
In addition to the evening shows and the pianist at the bar, there are either musicians, orchestras and dance. Well-appreciated. There are tables set around the lobby for card players. There is no-smoking ban, which can be uncomfortable for some. To book restaurants, ask for information or to report a problem, you must go to the public relations office located in the basement of the lobby.

Very comfortable and clean. The bedding was changed in some rooms. No problem with the daily supply in the fridge.

In summary ... Cayo Ensenachos is a great place for its beautiful beaches, the ground and the comfort of its rooms. Easy to snorkel and the staff is very fantastic.
