The Pueblo Las Dunas is located between the Melia Cayo Santa Maria and Melia Las Dunas. It was inaugurated in the summer of 2011. Several services are available, including a nightclub, bars, restaurants, shops and bowling alley. This pretty village is administered by the Cuban group Gaviota. It is smaller in size and services that the Pueblo La Estrella.

Since the opening of these two villages in Cayo Santa Maria, some services of the hotels are now grouped into these small towns like discos and art crafts shops. The bowling alleys (six) are modern with electronic score calculator. In the « Bolera », there are 56 seats (table) + 13 seats (bar sector)

All hotel guests may enjoy the services of the Pueblo Las Dunas (like the Pueblo La Estrella). These services are not part of your all-inclusive package. HOWEVER, the price for cocktails and meals are very affordable.

To facilitate the transfer from your hotel to this small town, a panoramic bus is available. This bus goes to all hotels, the dolphinarium, the Pueblo Las Dunas and the Pueblo La Estrella. The cost is 1 CUC per person each way. For those who cannot wait for the bus, you can still use a taxi (about 3-4 CUC per trip per taxi, not per person).

The entrance fee to the disco is 5 CUC (including 4 CUC of drinks) or 10 CUC (including 9 CUC of drinks) if you buy the ticket at your hotel lobby. However, at the disco, there is only the 10 CUC package. There is an excellent choice of local and international drinks. The price of alcoholic beverages varies from 2 CUC to 12 CUC and even more for premium brands. There are 168 seats in the « Salsa de Fiesta ».

As the Melia hotels are well-known for their weddings or renewal of vows, the restaurants in the Pueblo Las Dunas can be booked exclusively for groups and also the bowling alley that includes a bar, pool table and chairs. For an extra you can book « La Bolera » with open bar.
