Dolphinarium Cayo Santa Maria

Aerial view of the dophinarium of the Cayos de Villa ClaraThis large and modern dolphinarium is located next to Cayo Ensenachos, which is one of the three islands of the 'Cayos de Villa Clara' tourist hub (with Cayo Santa Maria and Cayo Las Brujas), see maps below. It opened its door in August 2011 and it is managed by Grupo de Turismo Gaviota S.A.

It is the largest dolphinarium in Cuba. The size of the dolphins enclosures are much larger (2,400 m2 on average) than many other dolphinariums in Cuba and elsewhere.

Services include:
6 open-sea pens (for up to 21 dolphins) for swimming and interacting, an entertainment area of 900 m2 and 260 seats for dolphin shows, an entertainment area for sea lions shows, an aquarium, a lobster nursery, a bar called “El Vapor”, a restaurant called “El Bergantin” (160 seats), a photo shop, and bathrooms.
