Cayo Santa Maria

Located east of Cayo Ensenachos, Cayo Santa Maria is the big sister of Cayo Ensenachos with the longest continuous beach in the islands of this region. We discovered these islands for the first time in 2002, when there was only one hotel on 6.2 kilometers of pristine and virgin beach.

Cayo Ensenachos - Hotel Iberostar Ensenachos

This island is booming regarding the hotels development. There are currently eight hotels in Cayo Santa Maria. The latest to open its door was the Hotel Gaviota in December 24th, 2011.

You will find in Cayo Santa Maria the international polyclinic and two recreational centers « Pueblo Las Dunas » and  « Pueblo La Estrella » in which all the tourists in the region can attend.

These are paid services ($) meaning, there are not included in your all-inclusive travel package.

For the Barcelo, the original project was four hotels: Beach, Colonial, Caribe and Tropical. Subsequently, the Beach and the Colonial were grouped under the same name: Barcelo Cayo Santa Maria Beach Colonial. The Caribe and Tropical are no longer under the Barcelo group, but rather the new Blue Diamond Hotels & Resorts (a division of Sunwing Travel Group) with the name of Memories Paraiso Beach Resort (formerly the Caribe sector) and Memories Azul Beach Resort (formerly the Tropical sector).
